Due to continued growth and success, this professional organisation is looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic individual to join their expanding team as Trainee Pensions Administrator. The key requirements for this role are exceptional organisation and communication skills, an aptitude for figure work and the ability to work in a team.
Experience is not necessary, so would suit someone who wants to learn. Must have a C or above in GCSE Maths and be highly numerate with the desire to work with numbers. Ideally A level or degree educated.
Hybrid working is available, you will be expected to work two days per week in their Winchester office, the other three remotely.
Trainee Pension Administrator duties:
* Producing calculations of member's benefits by either using pro forma or an automated calculation routine. Calculations will vary from scheme to scheme and will increase in complexity with experience.
* Preparing the appropriate explanatory standard letters to members, clients and advisers
* Maintain the client database and website and update individual member records accurately and completely.
* Input information on data files for bulk updates or for producing reports and to complete simple verification procedures to check data has been entered accurately. Assist in keeping records up-to-date and in good order.
* Prepare letters to members, clients and advisers to answer their questions and general enquiries about their benefits by either using the appropriate standard letters and templates or drafting non-standard responses.
* Communicate with scheme members and clients and deal with general telephone enquiries on a day-to-day basis.
Trainee Pension Administrator requirements:
* Educated to A level, degree level or equivalent
* Must be highly numerate and have strong mathematical skills
* Well organised and thorough, with excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
* Ability to work alone but to be a strong team player who is able to cope with multi-tasking and fluctuating workloads - the ability to organise and manage one’s own workload is vital.
* Able to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.
* Be keen to learn new things and expected to study for appropriate professional qualification
