You will be responsible for providing caretaking and minor maintenance within the building, working as part of a team to an agreed shift pattern to ensure premises and grounds support across the year.
You will be cleaning designated areas like litter bins, gutters, gullies, and traps, removing graffiti and consumables replenishment.
You will be working Monday to Friday between 06:30 to 22:00, 37.5 hours per week. You will also:
1. Support energy conservation measures
2. Be responsible for monitoring energy usage and supplying meter readings
3. Check the operation of the fire system on a regular basis, as directed by the PPM system
4. Carry out monthly fire door checks as part of the PPM schedule
5. Be responsible for noting and reporting repairs requirements through the helpdesk
6. Undertake minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs and strips, fuses, plugs, unblocking drains, minor joinery etc)
7. Move furniture and equipment
To be successful in the role, you will need:
8. To be able to undertake basic maintenance tasks ie plumbing, identifying leaks, minor joinery tasks, fixing door handles,
9. Experience in a similar role would be preferable although training will be given where appropriate.
