The role
is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership in global reward, recognition and benefit practices (with a particular focus on UK, Australia and US markets) to shape and deliver our global reward strategy. This global reward strategy will directly enable the delivery of in year company performance and the realisation of QinetiQ’s 5 year business strategy.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Group Reward Director will lead the Reward function globally and have a particular focus on the UK PLC (FTSE250) and its Remuneration Committee’s corporate governance requirements.
They will ensure the implementation of the reward strategy will include the design and assurance of robust governance of all reward-related activities. It is also expected the role will bring global PLC market practice insights and ensure Group reward practices are efficient, cost-effective and relevant across the whole Group as well as aligned to delivery of our strategic objectives. This includes the leadership of a number of third party suppliers and system investment maturity.
Through collaboration with the Group CPO, Global People Leadership team and other stakeholders they will be responsible for bringing a performance driven, enterprise wide strategic and structured approach to Total Rewards; ensuring we effectively attract and retain the very top talent globally.
We are looking for a highly motivated Group Reward Director who is collaborative, performance driven, with a global mindset and strong enterprise leadership who can leverage their expertise to develop the vision and implementation of our Reward strategy, whilst maintaining strong corporate and market compliance.
We are looking for someone who will:
1. Be a Reward subject matter expert, with proven experience in executive remuneration at Director level for a large international PLC or equivalent, with a deep understanding of reward strategies and have the ability to think strategically.
2. Show business and commercial acumen, understanding overall business goals.
3. Have a proven track record of data insights, scenario modelling and ROI generation for proposed strategies.
4. Have a demonstrable attention to detail/focus for accuracy, while working at pace, managing change and managing a complex stakeholder group.
5. Be a natural leader and strong team player, with the ability to work effectively to create a Global Reward Centre of Excellence in a global environment.
6. Be strong communicator with a credible and mature style and an ability to engage audiences and while challenging stakeholders when needed
7. Have had experience of working in at least two of these markets: UK, US and Australia.
