Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter
Location: Coleshill
Salary: Dependant on Experience
Shift: Permanent Late Shift - Monday to Thursday (2pm-10:15pm) and Friday (12pm-6pm)
My client supplies £0.5bn worth of technology solutions, products and services all year round to their clients within a range of market sectors including electrification, robotics, automation, and motion.
They are on the lookout for a Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Defining maintenance plans for new/existing production lines and facilities, consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and facilities.
2. Fault finding and solving issues on equipment across the plant to achieve maximum performance from the production lines.
3. Propose and implement improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at optimizing machine operation and usability with a particular focus on energy efficiency.
4. Completing/implementing TPM, PPM, and routine maintenance schedules for machines across the site.
5. Responding to time-critical breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems thus minimizing disruption to the production process.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Time served/Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Knowledge of maintenance activities with the use of CMMS systems, including experience in data analysis through such systems to focus activities for greater results.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
4. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
5. Good communication skills at all levels within the business.
6. Manufacturing background with ideal experience within conduit production machinery.
7. Machining experience in a maintenance setting using tooling such as lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, and welding.
8. Understanding of conduit system products.
