Here at PPL PRS we have an opportunity for a Music Licensing Manager to join the team. The role will meet with existing and potential customers in order to increase licence penetration within Scotland. Ideally you will be based North of Perth covering from East to West and above.
What would your week look like? 4 days a week on the road meeting new customers face to face ensuring they are legally covered to play copyright music. With 1 day a week scheduled working from home for administration which can but not limited to route planning and contacting customers.
You will positively communicate the legal requirements for a music licence and the benefits of music and therefore increase the use of PRS and PPL members’ music. The role will be responsible for new business sales of customer accounts with complex and /or variable licensing needs.
Key responsibilities
* To ensure an effective sales pipeline is researched and built through a mix of self-sourcing and following up on prospect sales leads
* To maintain a high standard of account and territory knowledge and management in order to maximise specific revenue streams
* To create an effective work plan of daily/weekly activities and field visits to customers in order to maximise revenues
* Generating invoices, explaining payment methods and collecting payment from customers at point of sale
* To use objection handling techniques to proactively resolve any customer queries or objections. Effectively obtain evidence of music usage to support potential infringement cases
* You will have set KPI’s to ensure you are meeting and exceeding the required results.
* To build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the field and at head office
* To develop and maintain knowledge of accounts, sectors and territories, in order to meet revenue targets
* To develop and maintain knowledge of core licensing processes and procedures including tariffs and Copyright Law
* To carry out field visits to support enforcement activity, on the occasions when escalated by the Enforcement & Infringement team
You will have
Essential
* A proven track record in sales
* Knowledge of relevant territory
* Competent using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Competent using CRM systems
* Full, clean driving license
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a successful multi-channel lead generation experience (field sales, telesales, and account management) with evidence of exceeding targets within a sales/business development environment
Desirable
* Experience of copyright or licensing in a structured environment
