Due to strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen on their team for an Electrical Fitter to join them and take ownership of the disassembly, testing, fault finding and repair of various safety equipment. Working within the power generation production team, you will take ownership of dismantling small electro/mechanical components (generators) down to the individual components, as well as overhauling/repairing and assembling generators, ready for final testing.
The key responsibilities for your new role as an Electrical Fitter are as follows:
* Stripping, cleaning, inspecting and building small electro/mechanical components (AC/DC generators and starter generators).
* Raising and completing inspection reports.
* Updating details onto the computer system.
* Working with the team to meet production deadlines.
* Maintaining quality standards, in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
* Working with the Team Leader to meet customer service levels.
* Meeting health, safety and environmental regulations.
In an ideal world, my client is keen to find someone with a background in the repair and packaging of electrical equipment and who has previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop of environment. They will however, be open to considering people from alternative industries/specialisms, who can demonstrate to the potential to transfer quickly.
Regardless of previous expertise, you will have prior experience of interpreting and following compliance manuals, be a team player, by nature, and work well under pressure.
In return, my client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £35,000, with further career prospects available within the group; for those who want it. Youll be working on a permanent day shift and the company offer some flexibility, with the working hours being either 8am 4pm or 9am 5pm.
