Atlantic Way Care Ltd supports adults with mental health conditions. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team across our Bideford community enabling services.
As a support worker within the community your role is exciting and varied. You will provide quality person-centred support across the Bideford community and in the homes of the individuals we support. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. You will encourage and empower the people we support to be independent in their everyday lives. Examples of how you may be able to support include accompanying someone out in the local area or on public transport to help them to overcome their anxieties of going out alone, supporting them to plan and shop for meals and to prepare these, helping them to order and manage their medication, and helping to budget and respond to correspondence.
Our primary need is for colleagues who are available Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. We would ask that you are able to offer some flexibility occasionally by working outside of these hours if needed.
