Two exciting opportunities have arisen within the Outpatient Therapy Team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust in Kings Lynn for a permanent full time Band 6 Physiotherapist and a permanent Outpatient rotational Band 6 position. These posts are suitable for an experienced Band 5 physiotherapist, or an existing Band 6 Physiotherapist.
In this post you will have the opportunity to provide patient centred assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation. The team accepts referrals from both GPs and Consultants, and outside referring hospitals, including major trauma centres. The rotational post will have opportunity to work within the rheumatology team on a rotational basis.
The Physiotherapy Service forms part of an integrated Rehab Service with the Occupational Therapy Service and aims to provide a progressive forward-thinking approach to patient care whilst able to support staff in personal development and continued education and training.
We would welcome all applications for a job share, part time or flexible working.
Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, many of which have complex presentations. The referrals will include self-referrals, GP and consultant referrals. You will be involved in Orthopaedic elective preop and post op classes. There may be an opportunity to be involved with the provision of aquatic therapy.
You will be offered teaching, supervision and supported development as you work through your clinical competencies and objectives. You will also be expected to assist in the training, supervision and appraisal in both pre and post graduate Physiotherapists.
You will also take part in weekend working as part of an agreed rota.
About us
There's never been a more exciting time to join TeamQEH. We're working on a once in a generation opportunity to build a new state-of-the-art hospital to open in 2030 and we are also carrying out on one of the biggest pieces of digital transformation work we've ever undertaken.
Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based patient records from 2026 and will lead to better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond.
At The QEH we provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincs.
We are an ambitious organisation that upholds our values of kindness, wellness and fairness. We strive for continuous quality improvement, recently demonstrated in our 2024 CQC maternity inspection rating our services as 'Good', and we are proud to be a place to learn and grow through recognised learning and apprenticeships.
We recognise and reward our 4,000 staff and volunteers, priding ourselves on a community atmosphere and positive team spirit. We have approx. 530 beds across 33 wards and have newly built education and training facilities, a range of modern award-winning centres alongside a talented team of people ready to give you a warm welcome.
We love working here and think you will too.
