About the Role
This role will provide evidence based best-practice assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment and prevention of a wide range of mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.
You will be supporting our customers to address their non-vocational barriers and develop their skills and job readiness. The role may also involve delivery of training relevant to the field, and consultancy with site staff and other service providers.
This role is being offered on a full time, fixed term basis until 17/01/2025 and will service our customers across Armadale and Cannington.
You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice. About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
1. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
2. Demonstrate competence in the application of a wide range of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions to consumers with complex needs;
3. Prove your ability to employ a range of strategies to effectively resolve conflict;
4. Show sound understanding of available mental health and other support services;
5. Prove your experience in providing individual therapy, group therapy and case management;
6. Demonstrate the ability to critically analyse or evaluate issues related to psychological care in a manner which can be applied to quality activities, service evaluation or research;
7. Demonstrate sound knowledge of the local labour market;
8. Demonstrate experience working effectively with a culturally diverse range of people;
9. Demonstrate understanding of barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and Communities;
10. Demonstrated understanding of case management framework; and
11. Demonstrate a basic understanding of WHS Responsibilities.
You will also be required to:
12. Hold a current driver’s licence;
13. Have a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counselling; and
14. Social Workers must be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (SA staff only).
