Company Overview
For over 40 years our client has been providing a broad range of affordable homes and services across the Borough of Warrington and they are as passionate about making Warrington a great place to live, in which the potential of individuals and communities can be realised. They currently own and manage around 1,300 homes for families, older people and people with additional support needs, including leasehold and shared ownership properties.

Purpose of the Role
To deliver an efficient, high-quality finance service to the internal and external customers of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete periodic accounting tasks and reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments.
* Produce and analyse management accounts and periodic financial information.
* Meet regularly with budget holders, providing financial information and challenging variances against budgets.
* Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare and manage the annual budget-setting process.
* Prepare annual accounts and periodic cash flow forecasts.
* Control and monitor the asset and property stock register.
* Prepare rent, service charges, and third-party invoices.
* Administer loan schemes as appropriate.
* Provide regular financial information to lenders and complete regulatory returns (e.g., RSH/NROSH).
* Assist with financial appraisals for development opportunities.
* Support internal and external audits with timely and user-friendly information.
Qualifications
* Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4 (or equivalent).
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Management Accountant, or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
* Experience using financial software and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
* Solid understanding of financial regulations.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, organizational, and time management skills.
* Strong ethical approach, with the ability to handle confidential data effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience working in the housing sector
