22.5 hours per week,
22.5 hours per week - alternate weekends and every Thursday and Friday
£11.44 per hour (excluding weekend 30% hourly enhancement)

About us
Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is in Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. We provide expert palliative and end-of-life care in the hospice and the community. We are here to help you and your loved ones, with everything from pain and symptom management to emotional and practical help.
About you
Do you take pride in providing excellent customer service and want to work in a lively, supportive team?
•Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willing and able to complete within 2 weeks of starting employment
•Able to work as part of a teamAble to communicate verbally and in writing
•Able to work within policies and procedures
•Experience of working in a similar environment
About the job
A wonderful opportunity to join our dedicated team who provide meals to palliative care inpatients at this critical time in their life, when it matters the most.
Some examples of the shift duties,
• Assist in the preparation of meals and refreshments
• Assist in serving meals and refreshments
• Wash up used utensils, pans and crockery in the dishwasher, hand washing certain items as appropriate
• Clean kitchen work surfaces, equipment, floors, fridges, freezers, and other storage cupboards in line with cleaning schedules and record as instructed
• Ensure all equipment is stored away and the kitchen left clean and tidy at the end of each shift
