We are currently recruiting for Category Manager - Indirect to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Ipswich
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, the Indirect Category Manager is a strategic role with primary responsibility for managing Indirect spend, with a predominant focus on Fleet, Professional Services, Transport, Contingent Workforce, Marketing procurement categories, for OCS UK & Ireland.
Collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders, both Group and UK&I, the Indirect Category Manager will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive category plan aimed at maximising value within the specified categories.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create a category strategy for long term planning, negotiation, and compliance.
2. Highlighting risks and issues with current contracts, identifying and implementing improvements.
3. Manage and implement SLAs and KPIs with suppliers to drive supplier performance.
4. Regular supplier engagement and management, building strategic, value-adding relationships. Managing end-to-end sourcing activities and supporting the Head of Indirect Procurement in high-risk/value opportunities.
About You:
5. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
6. Have a broad experience in General Indirect Procurement Categories.
7. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and C-suite
8. Advise on the sourcing strategy and be accountable for end-to-end strategic sourcing process.
9. Understand supplier markets relating to Indirect Procurement, ideally around Fleet, Contingent Workforce and Professional Services, Transport and Marketing to bring knowledge, innovation and opportunity to deliver commercial advantage to OCS
10. Good communication and influencing skills.
11. Results-driven with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
12. Experience in SRM. (Supplier Relationship Management)
13. Working towards MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
