Are you passionate about education and ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and confident Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Kingsbury (Harrow) on a full-time basis starting January 2025.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of secondary school students. Key responsibilities include:
Providing targeted support to students in all subjects, up to GCSE level.
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups to enhance their understanding and confidence, including working with children with Special Educational Needs.
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Collaborating with teachers and staff to support individual student needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Confidence in supporting English, Maths and Science to GCSE Level, with strong subject knowledge.
Experience working with secondary school aged children in any capacity, such as education, youth work or sports coaching (preferred).
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
A genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.Benefits
