What you will do:
1. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and project objectives.
2. Review and approve changes, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and coding standards. You will rationalise and simplify solutions before and during their build.
3. Mentor and guide engineers as required, working with the Chapter Lead to ensure appropriate guidelines, standards, and processes are in place and applied consistently.
4. Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
5. Minimise the creation of any new technical debt by managing delivery priorities with long term stability.
6. Present technical concepts to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
7. Encourage and participate in experimentation & innovation within the chapter and across teams to solve complex technical challenges.

What you will need:
1. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
2. Excellent knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Automate RPA, Dynamics 365 CRM), Camunda BPM, other automation applications.
3. Hands-on experience of Continuous Integration using Jira, Confluence, SonarQube and Azure DevOps.
4. Experience in hands-on development using .Net.
5. Experience in building code-based extensions for Power platform and Dynamics 365 CE such as custom plugins and workflows and java scripts-based logics.
6. Development experience with Azure and related components such as Azure Functions.
7. Ability and adaptability to learn new technologies and platforms and set guardrails on best practices for them.
8. Proven track record and passion to lead and mentor engineers within a team, driving a collaborative multi-cultural environment.
