Salary: £24,717 - £35,119 per annum dependent upon qualifications

Sunfield Specialist School is an exciting and innovative provision which offers full time education to children who have significant/complex social, emotional or educational difficulties. At Sunfield Specialist School students learn through a dynamic outdoor land and craft-based practical skills curriculum, which includes; textiles, green woodwork, pottery, cooking and blacksmithing. Alongside this, the school garden provides a space for learning and engagement where young people meet the plant and animal world through appropriate activity. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to become part of an established Land Team here at Sunfield. The key duties of this role include:
• Delivering tailored seasonal garden sessions to learners
• Developing curriculum opportunities for land-based learning, working with the School Farm Manager, Tutors and Teachers ensuring garden-based learning is supported throughout the school
• Maintaining the existing school garden, including small scale pig and chicken husbandry
• Working alongside therapy and land teams to develop immersive sensory and play environments within the context of the garden and wider estate
