Job overview
Applications are invited for the post of Pharmacy Support Worker, to join our pharmacy team at Pilgrim Hospital Boston. The Pharmacy Department provides ward-based and dispensary services to a range of general and specialist areas.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include working as the dispensary receptionist, topping up wards, issuing medication, assessing stock for return, stock checks, stock rotation, and emergency drug cupboard stock control.
It is essential to have the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Pharmacy, or be willing to study towards it.

* Ability to work on own and as part of a team
* Ability to cope with pressure
* Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the pharmacy service
* Ability to work accurately
* Ability to work to defined SOPs
* Ability to prioritise work to deadlines
* Knowledge of drug names
* Customer Service experience
* Relevant work experience in a customer-oriented supply role
Qualifications
* NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical sciences or willingness to study
* 3 GCSEs C or above (inc English, Maths and a Science)
