DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE TEACHING D&T AND SPECIALISE IN A SPECIFIC DT SUBJECT?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified, specialist D&T teacher to work in one of our OFSTED rated "Good" and consistently improving schools based in the Coventry area. The ideal candidate will be passionate, confident and have experience teaching classes of up to 30 + secondary school aged students.
Pay: To scale (on full time, long term positions)
Role Qualifications:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology
- Bachelors Degree in Food Technology, Product Design, Textiles or any other DT discipline
- Proven track record teaching DT within a UK secondary school
- Previous experience planning and marking
- Strong classroom presence and confident delivering lessons to a range of abilities
- Experienced and confident supporting pupils with special educational needs
- Strong subject knowledge and knowledge of the national curriculum guidelines
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that incorporate both practical and theoretical elements of the DT national curriculum
- Assess pupils learning and progress through various forms of assessment, providing feedback condusive with their development
- Differentiate lessons to suit the individual needs within the class, ensuring planning is adapted accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues within the DT/Art department to ensure it is a high performer within the school
- Contribute to the wider school community through engagement with extra curricular activities etc
- Confident with behaviour management techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
