Imaging Services Manager

We’re looking for an Imaging Manager to lead our newly-opened imaging service at the Harborne Hospital.
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.
What you’ll do:
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to form an integral part of the hospital leadership team to lead and shape our imaging function including departmental policy design and implementation.
Imaging Services Manager will have responsibility for the operational management of all patient services within the Service. This involves delivery of strategic direction, operational performance targets, including access targets, finance and the quality of services to patients and improving services towards best practice standards within available income.
This purpose-built department is equipped with the latest, state of the art Imaging equipment.
The department consists of:
1. Xray
2. Fluoroscopy
3. CT
4. MRI
5. Mammography
6. Hybrid Interventional Radiology/Cath lab
7. Ultrasound

8. Manage the delivery of services to agreed standards
9. Exercise delegated authority to resolve day-to-day management issues
10. Provide appropriate input and challenge to clinical and business plans and continue to work to delivery of these objectives.
11. Manage the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards, other facility-wide policies and processes and best practice requirements
12. Improve the quality of services through Clinical Governance.
13. Provide assurance to compliance of all Radiation safety regulations.
14. Cross boundary management of staff within a complex environment
15. Manage service improvement projects to agreed timeframes and financial targets.
What you’ll bring:
16. A clinical background within an Imaging setting is highly desirable
17. Experience of managing a team is essential
18. Prior experience of managing a budget
19. Prior experience of working at a strategic level would be advantageous
