The consultant will be fundamental to the ability to deliver to their customers and clients. The customer expectations are high, as such they are looking for adaptive and driven candidates to deliver on time to required quality.
Tasks & responsibilities:
The Structural Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and simulations for aerospace components and assemblies. This role involves collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to ensure the structural integrity and performance of aircraft structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finite element analysis (FEA), materials science, and aerospace engineering principles.
Conduct linear and non-linear static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses on aerospace components using FEA tools.
Perform hand calculations to validate FEA results and ensure structural integrity.
Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on structural performance and suggest design improvements.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize structural designs.
Evaluate and recommend materials based on performance, weight, cost, and manufacturability considerations.
Ensure material properties are accurately represented in structural models
Develop and oversee test plans for structural components to validate analysis results.
Required experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural analysis, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in finite element analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus).
Strong understanding of materials science, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) for design integration.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAR, JAR, EASA).
Remuneration:
Salary – £40,000 – £55,000
Contributory Pension
