Just Recruitment is working with a growing organisation, based on the outskirts of Sudbury, looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their long-standing team.
The position will be as a third engineer in the busy Commercial Department who design, build and install specialist equipment throughout the UK and North Sea.
This role requires travelling to all areas of the UK and applicants must hold a passport and clean driving licence. A company van would be provided for work travel and the successful applicant must expect to be on the road a minimum of 2-3 days a week with overnight stays in pre-booked accommodation.
Main job duties include:
*Installing equipment identified in site surveys, ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard and that the client is trained on how to use the systems correctly
*Carrying out servicing and calibration of systems, ensuring the equipment is compliant with the client's needs
*Identifying faults with the systems, along with repairing/replacing faulty equipment
*Completing service and calibration reports, which advise both the client and the Commercial Manager of works carried out on site
*Assisting with the arranging of site visits with clients and completing paperwork such as RAMS, insurances and competencies required prior to attending site
*Ensuring all administrative paperwork i.e. contracts and service documents are inputted on to the Office CRM system
*Assisting the other engineers with research and development into new systems and equipment
*Taking due care of company vehicle, completing vehicle checks and ensuring servicing requirements or defects are reported to the Fleet Manager
*Providing internal and external assistance using advanced knowledge of systems
* Completing office-based tasks such as providing clients with support and identifying any faults from data shown in the specialist software
Offshore work is infrequent but can occur around 5/7 times a year.
Electrical, IT, IOT and basic engineering backgrounds would all be beneficial for this role.
