Job Profile
As a QC Engineer, you will ensure all materials, components, and package assemblies meet project specifications. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing production processes, quality checks, and non-conformance management to maintain the highest standards of quality throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Responsibilities / Duties
* Review production documentation, including drawings and datasheets, to ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Oversee non-conformance and change management processes throughout production.
* Inspect components, assemblies, and complete packages using Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
* Support instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
* Complete inspections and assessments, providing clear documentation on non-conformance.
* Conduct machine shop inspections using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment and mechanical measurement tools.
* Inspect painted components, including paint adhesion, thickness, and quality checks.
* Assess the quality of welded components using visual and basic measuring equipment.
Education
* Essential: HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering, City & Guilds qualification, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
* Desirable: Quality-related qualification such as CSWIP 3.0 or PCN.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience with industrial processing packages, including piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and structures.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metrology, and calibration (FARO Arm CMM experience preferred).
* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED).
