As a Chef specialising in baking and pastry, you will work closely with our culinary team to create beautifully crafted baked goods and desserts that delight our clients and enhance our menu offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creative Excellence: Prepare, bake, and artfully present a variety of pastries, bread, and desserts with a focus on taste, texture, and quality.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet our high standards for presentation, flavour, and freshness, consistently exceeding client expectations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee stock control for baking ingredients, maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production and minimise waste.
• Event Support: Collaborate with the catering team to contribute to special events, themed dessert tables, and custom orders.
• Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a spotless, organised kitchen and baking area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a positive, supportive environment through effective communication and teamwork, helping junior team members as needed.
Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Fun and enthusiastic. Have excellent organisation skills. Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.
