The Role
of Shift Operations Manager will include the following responsibilities:
1. Leading a shift for a specified area of the factory, briefing colleagues on the plans for the day and ensuring that targets are met
2. Four Direct Reports, taking 1-2-1s and appraisals as well as managing holidays, disciplinaries, training and development
3. Driving Continuous Improvement of people on your shift, developing their skills and knowledge
4. Working alongside the Engineering team to plan machine availability ensuring that the production targets will be met
5. Working with Recruitment Agencies to ensure that any staffing needs are met within budget
6. Working with key stakeholders across the business, within Operations, Engineering and centralised teams too
The Candidate:
The Right Candidate for the role of Shift Operations Manager will be/have:
7. Experience in a leadership role within a factory environment in Operations
8. Able to work shifts
9. The ability to coach and improve individuals with a proven track record of doing this
10. Leading Project delivery and implementation while influencing key stakeholders within the business
11. Experience building strong relationships with key stakeholders so the site works efficiently
