We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to oversee and manage end-to-end payroll for four companies, covering approximately 3,000 employees. This role is ideal for someone with payroll experience looking to grow into a leadership position and make a significant impact on a dynamic and supportive team based in West Byfleet. Monday to Friday (Hybrid - three days from home) 8am - 4pm 37.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage assigned payrolls, working closely with the Group Head of Payroll to resolve discrepancies and complex payroll issues. Supervise and support payroll coordinators handling multiple PAYE systems. Assist with submitting all RTI, FPS, and EPS to HMRC, making PAYE payments, and ensuring correct tax and deductions. Calculate statutory and HMRC deductions/payments, apply tax code notifications from employees and HMRC. Manage and maintain company mileage, cars, and NIC/Class 1A contributions. Assist in analysing variance reports, ensuring all variances are justified before payroll approval. Support the Group Head of Payroll in managing company pension schemes (LGPS and statutory pensions). Support year-end payroll activities (P60s and P11Ds), supporting finance teams with audits and payroll-related processes. What are we looking for? Proven experience in a payroll supervisory or team leader role, or significant experience as a Payroll Officer/Specialist looking to progress into a leadership position. Strong working knowledge of payroll systems, financial regulations, and high-volume payroll processing. Experience in processing high-volume, in-house payroll from start to finish, including the ability to perform manual calculations. Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and advanced Excel proficiency (including lookups and pivot tables).
