Job summary
GP Healthcare Alliance (GPHA) has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic paramedic to join our PCN, based at Canvey Island. This role is offered on a full-time basis, for hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The post holder will provide a holistic and clinical service, with support and supervision of GPs, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate.
The post holder will triage, take a comprehensive history, examine, diagnose, and treat/refer or a range of minor injuries/illnesses/infections as required. Care may be delivered in several settings including within patients home, nursing, care home, telephone consultations, outreach events or potentially within a designated clinic within one of the GP practices.

Qualifications
Essential
14. Degree/Diploma in Paramedicine or equivalent experience.
15. Acquired 5 years of post-registration experience, including:
16. Two-year Consolidation of Learning period as a newly qualified paramedic.
17. Three years experience as a band 6 (or equivalent) paramedic.
18. Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
19. Able to operate at an advanced level of clinical practice.
20. Framework for Higher Education Qualification (FHEQ) Level 7.
Experience
Essential
21. Experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
22. Working knowledge of Microsoft and GP practice and prescribing data monitoring systems
23. Ability to write comprehensive clinical notes, implement and evaluate care plans
24. Ability to evidence a sound understanding of the NHS principles and values.
25. Ability to analyse and interpret complex/ often incomplete information, pre-empt, and evaluate issues, and recommend and appropriate course of action to address the issues.
26. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and persuade others articulating a balanced view and able to constructively question information.
27. Be able to travel to various settings across the network.
