Job Description
Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, seeks an experienced Environmental Project Engineer. The role involves serving as a key technical focal point throughout the product life-cycle, from concept definition and development to design aid, formal qualification, and in-service support. Expertise required includes requirements specification and management, data analysis, simulation and modelling, and testing in climatic, mechanical (vibration and shock), structural mechanical, and fatigue environments.
As an Environmental Project Engineer, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape product design, manufacturing, and proving processes. This role not only allows for the development of technical skills and the acquisition of experience across our client's UK portfolio but also provides the chance to engage with senior business leaders, including Project Heads and Chief Engineers, to influence key technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with their functions, sectors, and Chief Engineers, including Systems Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Proving teams.
2. Provide technical expertise in generating environmental requirements and developing robust product designs.
