Social Worker
Conwy County Borough Council are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join their Children, Families and Safeguarding Service. The successful candidate will work alongside the Assessment and Support team to deliver a high-quality social work service to children and families who are deemed to have unmet needs and/or considered to be at risk of harm/significant harm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake S47, initial assessments and private law court reports
* Provide support and develop resilience and independence for children and families
* Ensure children and families are at the centre of decision making about their lives and outcomes
* Respond to safeguarding concerns in accordance with All Wales Child Protection Procedures
* Maintain professional accountability for the allocation of resources in accordance with service criteria, legislation, financial and other regulations of the council
Requirements:
* Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post qualified plus technology & software skills
* Registered with Social Care Wales. If not already registered, they will need to register in order to work in Conwy County Borough Council.
* Knowledge of relevant current legislation and guidance for the post including the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2016
