About Aegis Energy:
At Aegis Energy, we are building the future of commercial truck and van fleet recharging and refuelling in the UK. Our mission is to develop a network of clean energy hubs, supporting the needs of commercial fleets with low/zero-emission energies including electric charging, bio-CNG, HVO, and Hydrogen. We focus on meeting the demands of the commercial vehicle sector.
Transport accounts for 27% of CO2 emissions in the UK. Commercial vehicles (CVs) produce 38% of this, with heavy and light goods vehicles (HGVs, LGVs) accounting for 20% and 18% respectively. Aegis will play a significant role in the UK’s energy transition by providing essential high-speed charging, Bio-CNG, HVO and hydrogen infrastructure on purpose-designed, public access stations to CV fleets across the UK.
About the role:
We are seeking an organised and creative Marketing Manager who is motivated to help build out Aegis’ first marketing function and shape the story of our current and future offer to UK commercial vehicle fleets. You will work as part of a small, high-performance team to develop a deep understanding of the UK logistics industry. You'll work closely with the BD Director, wider leadership team and a number of external agency partners to deliver a targeted programme of marketing efforts. You will lead on the execution of our marketing strategy, including management of projects across market research, branding, events, content creation and management of our social media accounts.

This role will work closely with the Business Development Director and a broader sales and marketing team. The role is based in Wakefield, with ability to work from home up to 1 day per week. Willingness to travel for the role, including to industry events and conferences.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with the Director – Business Development and commercial team, you will:
* Lead the execution of our Marketing plan in alignment with the overall business and marketing objectives set by the BD director
* Account management of our PR and graphic design agencies to ensure effective delivery of the marketing objectives
* Working with our agency partners to drive the development of high-quality, creative content that engages new fleet operators, OEMs, investors and members of the UK commercial vehicle sector
* Plan and coordinate our attendance at key industry conferences and events, including recommending speaking opportunities and preparing briefing materials accordingly
* Represent the company with energy and enthusiasm at industry events and conferences
* Oversee and manage the company’s social media accounts
* Maintain key customer collateral
* Manage updates to the company website; including any key announcements, press releases, and strategic developments
* Feedback customer needs to the Director – Business Development and Senior Leadership Team to evolve the Aegis business plan and sales strategy over time
Qualifications and previous experience:
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional accreditation, or equivalent practical work experience in relevant industry.
* At least four years of experience in relation to most of the principal duties and responsibilities for the role set out above, including marketing, communications, PR, or sales.
* Evidence of right to work in the UK at the expected start date of the role.
