Job summary
All SLaM services are delivered through one of two types of Operations Directorate:
Borough Operations Directorates that deliver core services for the relevant Borough.
Older Adult and CAMHS services are Trust-wide Operations Directorates providing services to all relevant service users
National & specialist services not operated in an alliance are hosted in the Operations Directorates best able to support and deliver the service.
All Operations Directorates work closely with newly formed Clinical Academic Groups that are responsible for pathway design, clinical research and other academic activity.
Operations Directorates and CAGs are both supported by HR, finance, commercial, contracts, BI, ICT and academic science.
This role will lead the operation, finance, workforce and strategic elements of Croydon Borough Services and B&D within SLaM.

Main duties of the job
o Responsible for the delivery of the Operational Directorate's strategy through development of robust business plans, setting of relevant operational targets and delivery of its activities within agreed budgets and Lead, with the medical and nursing lead and wider leadership team, theeffective working of governance structures, roles and responsibilities based on multi- disciplinary Ensure there are effective relationships with the ICB (particularly SWL and SEL), Integrated Care Systems, Croydon "Place", the SL Partnership, Local authorities and other external Ensure mechanisms are in place to involve key stakeholders in service planning and delivery, to develop culturally sensitive services acceptable to an ethnically diverse inner city population and to ensure fair access to services irrespective of gender, sexuality, religion, culture, race or To contribute to the effective management and development of the Trust and wider partners (including KHP and the SLP) and ensure the Operational Directorate and its interests are effectively To host Trust-wide and National Specialist services. All hosted services will be managed by the Director with the same responsibilities as all other Operational Directorate, however the exact portfolio hosted is under review and may be subject to change in line with organisational development processes.

This role will lead the operation, performance, finance, workforce and strategic elements of the operational directorate. Croydon and B&DP is a SLaM Operations Directorate which delivers the care required by the population served by the Trust. Care provision is specified by: the contracts in place with commissioners; the activity of cost and volume services; commercial agreements with third parties; any other agreements with the Trust, which may include research activityOperations Directorate requirements are specified in a performance envelope which will be derived each year from all contracted quality standards, activity volumes and financial values. Each Operations Directorate is designed to deliver against its specific performance envelope and agreed on an annual basis, therefore the makeup of the Borough will change as services and demand for services change.

1. oEducated to degree level or equivalent experience
2. oManagement qualification and/or extensive knowledge and expertise acquired through training and experience up to doctoral level
