In this role, you will lead a dedicated team, ensuring alignment with Dukes' strategic objectives and optimising win rates. Your responsibilities will include developing bid strategies, conducting market analysis, and understanding customer needs to create tailored and competitive bids. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, and legal will be essential to ensure proposals are comprehensive, compliant, and compelling. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in bid management, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines. Attention to detail and strategic thinking are critical as you will be instrumental in influencing Dukes' market position and revenue growth. As a critical contributor to the retention of existing clients and the acquisition of new clients in the public sector, you will be responsible for achieving the following KPIs: The introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedure, governance and processes Ensuring your Bid Team write and submit 100% of proposals on time, adhering to internal and external deadlines and the bid specification/requirements Retaining 100% of incumbent contracts that come out for re-tender To win new contracts in accordance with the company’s annual business objectives. Salary: Up to £70k per annum (based on experience), plus car allowance of £4,800 per annum & eligibility for annual company performance based bonus. A background in solution selling and experience or bid management from opportunity identification through to project delivery. Proven team leadership skills in office-based and virtual work environments. Sound commercial understanding, with risk management skills. Excellent communication - you have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to quickly get to the point both in presentations and in bid documentation. You will have a high attention to detail and be confident requesting colleagues for information within prescribed timescales. Organisation - you have the ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities. You can follow a process, handle multiple and changing timescales and stay on top of a varied and rapidly changing workload without dropping the ball. You are flexible and highly self-motivated as well as being able to work as part of a collaborative team. Critical thinking - you have an innovative mindset and can quickly identify and overcome blockers and objections, creatively linking a prospect’s needs to Dukes’ solution. Attention to detail - you can consistently produce a high-quality output whilst working to strict deadlines and managing multiple projects. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management and commercial skills.
