About the role:
We are in search of a UK Qualified Solicitor with 2-4 years of PQE. The role will be to support the transactional arm of the legal team, providing assistance with Code Renewal transactions, legal supplier management and financial control, as well as innovation to the legal process, aiding for example continuous improvements. The successful candidate would be expected to rapidly build upon their knowledge of telecoms leases within the role, given the Company's agreements are centered around the Electronic Communications Code (2017).
Prior experience of the Code would be advantageous. There will be an emphasis on providing dedicated legal support to the Estates project having responsibility for managing the legal completion of a quantity of Code Agreement / Lease / License / Freehold Acquisition transactions internally. The successful candidate would be aligned with the leads of the Estates team and would be responsible for the delivery of renewals through the end-to-end process, most specifically through from legal instruction to legal completion in line with monthly forecasts and to agreed deadlines.
The role would report directly into the Senior Property Counsel within the Legal & Compliance Team.
What is Required for the role:
1. A UK Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial property conveyancing from a well-regarded city / regional firm.
2. 2-3 years PQ experience in commercial conveyancing transactions, particularly relating to landlord and tenant matters.
3. Experience of working with the Electronic Communications Code.
4. An understanding, or exposure to property litigation.
5. Good commercial awareness with ability to deliver clear advice.
6. Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of formats with colleagues and others outside the business.
7. Able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
