Key Responsibilities Transaction Support: Assist in managing the lifecycle of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and leases. Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents such as leases, licenses, contracts, and deeds. Land Registry Applications: Prepare and submit applications to the Land Registry and resolve requisitions. Client Liaison: Communicate with clients, agents, and third parties to ensure smooth progress of transactions. Searches and Due Diligence: Conduct property searches (e.g., title, local authority, environmental) and review results. Post-Completion: Handle completion matters, including SDLT submissions and ensuring compliance with deadlines. File Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure files comply with legal and regulatory standards. Research: Provide legal research to support solicitors on complex cases. Skills and Experience Essential: Proven experience as a paralegal in a commercial property department. Strong knowledge of property law and transaction processes. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with legal software and MS Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Desirable: Experience with case management systems. Knowledge of SDLT submissions and Land Registry processes. Completion of a Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification. Qualifications A degree in law or a related field (or equivalent experience). Paralegal certification or training preferred.
