At Tesco Media & Insight Platform, we’re looking for a talented Agency Group Head. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the fast-growing Tesco Media and Insights Platform and help define the future of Retail Media with the support of the UK’s largest Retailer. The right candidate will play a defining role in growing our agency partnerships strategy & engagement.
The successful candidate will join our Agency Development team, and work with a team of world-class and passionate people to shape a proposition that creates measurable value for customers, advertisers, agencies and Tesco. You will be responsible for the go-to-market plan, strategy and delivery of our agency business with our biggest customers. This will involve working with media agencies, brand clients and internal teams (Product, Solutions, Media, Insights) to translate the vision into reality.
Key accountabilities
* Someone with a strong UK media network to lead the commercial engagement with media agencies and create a relationship built on trust and credibility.
* Experience with building and negotiating partnership/trade agreements bringing tangible value to both Tesco and our biggest Agency customers.
* To build and lead a team to forecast & deliver commercial objectives, and to oversee the career & skill development of their direct reports.
* Be able to quantify the benefits of 1st party purchase data and be a thought leader showcasing how data can empower brands to do more, do better.
* Specialism in digital media (search, social, display) with experience in customer-data driven omnichannel media planning for grocery CPG/FMCG clients hugely desirable.
* Experience in selling data-driven media solutions into media agencies and brands directly.
* Deep knowledge of the agency landscape, major players, operating models, commercial structure, and building trade agreements and joint business plans.
* Takes an evidence-based approach with data at the heart of every decision.
* Strong track record of building partnerships built around business transformation and delivery of new products and capabilities.
* Good market knowledge of all things media and a demonstrable customer-first approach.
