SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – Plymouth
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Pay Rate: £85-£90 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: Immediate/As soon as possible
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive primary school environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning and development needs are met.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting resources to suit diverse learning styles.
* Support students with emotional, social, and behavioral needs, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators to implement effective strategies and interventions.
* Provide one-to-one or small-group support as required.
* Assist with personal care needs if necessary.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is highly desirable.
* A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
* A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Business insurance to cover travel to and between school sites, as required.
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
