We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, self-motivated Intelligence analyst who can deliver intelligence products to direct the work of Kent Trading Standards enforcement and compliance teams.
What you will do:
1. Provide a specialist analyst capability, to direct the work of enforcement and compliance teams in Kent.
2. Proactively identify emerging trends and issues across Kent.
3. Work within a specialist high-performing team.
4. Produce high quality intelligence products, working in line with the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
5. Promote an 'intelligence-led' approach, offering specialist advice, sharing best practices, and employing tools that tangibly enhance our enforcement and investigative actions.
What you will need:
6. You will have a good understanding of intelligence led working and experience of using intelligence in an analyst or enforcement capacity.
7. You will be dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
8. You will be a team player who can lead by example and build strong relationships with partner organisations.
9. You will be computer literate and able to use databases to input, extract and interpret information from various sources.
10. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to present to various audiences.
11. You will be able to use a variety of analytical skills, tools and programmes.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

A full induction and extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. Interviews will be held at Kings Hill.
Interviews will be held on 19th July 2024. The post holder must be vetted to Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 2 (this will be arranged for you).
