We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to join the Frontier team, based at Wimblington on a permanent full-time basis.
You will have overall responsibility for the evaluation of cereal, pulse & oilseed samples for the business, both for the site and ex farm samples, for the farm trading team. You will also be required to assist the site team in processing vehicle bookings both in and out of the site whilst upholding Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

About You
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
Ability to handle telephone calls proficiently possess an assured, professional, and helpful telephone manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Proven attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
An effective team player with a flexible approach to work additional hours at peak season (July-September)

Your Role
As a Laboratory Manager your role will involve:
Testing and recording of grain samples
Operating the weighbridge and sampling equipment to assist the site team as required
Training of our temporary staff at harvest
Completing and recording relevant tests during the year
Complying with all Quality Assurance requirements
Ensuring testing of intake and dispatch samples of grain is completed
Maintaining the laboratory working environment to a high standard
Completing all relevant procedures and checks in timely manner
External training will be provided if applicant doesnt currently hold a crop inspectors licence, enabling applicant to inspect seed crops in the field, to assist the wider team.
