An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our established and dedicated Estates Team. In this role you will contribute to ensuring that DHCFT delivers a high-quality service which meets the needs of all our patients and families in line with the DHCFT strategy. The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated maintenance joiner to assist with PPM, minor works, and day to day reactive maintenance. The role will be based at Kingsway House, Derby.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the operational delivery of a mandatory and statutory compliant Estates service in the areas listed below. This list is not exhaustive:
1. Planned Preventative Maintenance
2. Reactive Maintenance
3. To carry out general fitting repairs to ward equipment, office equipment and estates related equipment.
4. To carry out installation of fixtures and fittings (noticeboards, pictures, etc).
5. Assist all trades craftsmen, as required, on new and routine maintenance and improvement work.
6. To carry out planned maintenance works as scheduled.
7. To use machinery to carry out carpentry related tasks.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - Carpentry/Joinery
Skills
* Have the ability to carry out problem solving/fault finding on all aspects of maintenance.
* Post apprenticeship experience working as a joiner.
* Worked on machinery relating to carpentry.
* Multiskilled experience.
Knowledge
* Understanding of H&S Law.
* Will require good communication skills to ensure that technical detail is effectively communicated to non-technical audiences.
* Previous experience within healthcare environment.
