North Tyneside Council are looking for a social worker to join their Community Mental Health Team on a full time, 3 month contract
Responsibilities -
Assess and support individuals with mental health needs, ensuring care is tailored to their specific requirement
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and agencies to develop and implement care plans
Advocate for clients, ensuring their rights and needs are prioritised within the mental health system
Provide crisis intervention to individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges
Monitor and review progress, adjusting support as needed to meet changing circumstances
Safeguard vulnerable adults, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards in all care practices
Facilitate access to services, including housing, benefits, and community resources to improve overall wellbeing
Requirements
Registration with SWE
Qualification in Social Work
Minimum 2 years experience as a social worker
