First Military Recruitment are supporting a fantastic legal business who are currently recruiting for a Secretary to join their team on a permanent basis. Working in a lovely open plan office environment, it’s a brilliant opportunity for an individual who has administrative/PA experience in addition to being exposed to audio typing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Audio-typing – transcribing audio dictation.
2. Diary – diarising files; giving diarised files to the solicitor; making appointments etc.
3. Liaison – liaise with the solicitors when away from the office – notifying of daily post, emails, passing on messages etc.
4. Licence Applications – typing applications where necessary, diarising etc in accordance with office procedures.
5. Opening Clients / Matters on Office Management System and physical files where appropriate – opening new clients / matters via the office management system, following firms’ money laundering procedures.
6. Telephone – assistance in answering the telephone, taking messages, liaising with clients, arranging meetings etc.
7. AutoCAD – printing plans
8. Miscellaneous – filing, preparing post, photocopying, scanning, bundles etc.
9. To undertake any specific training when required to do so and to have an overall responsibility towards self development.
10. All other duties as required to fulfil the job requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
11. Ability to manage own time, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Ability to co-operate and get along with other members of immediate secretarial team and other colleagues.
13. High standard of communication, both verbally and written.
14. Typing speeds – both audio and copy typing a minimum of 60 wpm.
15. Knowledge of Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and also knowledge of using the internet.

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)
