Primary Responsibilities:
The appointed candidate will undertake vital duties in installing and maintaining state-of-the-art energy storage units throughout the UK. This role entails collaboration with homeowners, businesses, and external partners. Responsibilities comprise installation, warranty services, and liaising with external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Desired Traits:
Experience in renewable energy, technical customer service, or maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment is advantageous.
Role Overview:
1. Executing installations and warranty services in residential or commercial settings.
2. Cultivating positive relationships with internal teams and external clients.
3. Close coordination with the Installations Manager to manage schedules and job requirements.
4. Ensuring technical standards and quality of electrical work meet expectations.
5. Adhering to technical standards and procedures.
6. Responding effectively to health and safety concerns.
7. Training new third-party installers and ensuring they receive appropriate training and equipment.
8. Offering technical support to third-party installers.
9. Identifying and resolving field issues, working closely with the Technical team.
10. Contributing to the enhancement of field processes, including surveys, installations, and warranty procedures. Completing and uploading NICEIC forms, maintaining relevant certifications.
11. Fulfilling duties akin to a "QS" to maintain accreditations.
12. Maintaining a calibration log for equipment.
13. Servicing and maintaining energy storage units in customers' premises.
14. Monitoring and replenishing van stock levels as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
15. Proficiency in Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.
16. Competence in inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures.
17. Technical competency as outlined in the job description.
18. Practical knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and compliance with CDM regulations.
19. Previous experience as an NICEIC (or equivalent) EQS for an Approved Contractor Scheme.
20. Basic understanding of battery technologies, Power Electronics, 3-phase power, and renewable energy.
21. Familiarity with programming concepts and internet connectivity troubleshooting (preferred but not required). Possession of a UK driving license with at least one year's clean record.
