Role Purpose
This is a great opportunity to join the finance team as a Event Accountant, you will be supporting the financial controller on event P&L budgets, event settlements both pre and post events. This is a role that will give you lots of variety which means no day will ever be the same.
Working with the best talent on and off the stage, you will be supporting the venue management team to manage accounting entries and costs for each event and liaising with promoters on event days to settle events. Just when you thought music never sounded so good you will be part of a awesome team supporting global brands and touring bands who are excited to be part of Co-op Live.
Responsibilities
1. Creating and maintaining event P&L’s, budgets, and Outlooks in coordination with the booking department
2. Creating event settlements / settle events as required
3. Creating and posting event entries
4. Provide final event P&L analysis
5. Creating budget / forecast templates for purposes to upload into data into accounting and reporting systems
6. Attending budget preparation meetings to gather data
7. Helping with preparing financial reporting package for month-end close
8. Working on financial budget package and doing reconciliations between files / systems
9. Assisting with the gathering of capital budget data, creating budget input templates
10. Prepare and distribute flash reports for events, Food and Beverage and parking
11. Be onsite for event settlement with promoters

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
24. Advanced Microsoft Excel user
25. Experience in the events industry
26. Strong budget and reporting experience
27. Flexible approach, you will like variety of which there is lots
28. Strong relationship building skills and able to communication with internal teams and external parties
29. An infectious can-do approach
30. A passion for getting things done and working as part of a awesome team
Desirable:
31. Accounting degree or equivalent accounting qualifications
32. Oracle NetSuite
