Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join its busy Planning Development Team. You will be responsible for dealing with a caseload of planning applications and responding to pre-application enquiries in relation to proposed development queries.
You will ideally have previous experience of providing planning advice and of dealing with small to medium scale planning applications, including liaison with applicants and their agents. You will be an extremely organised person, able to take responsibility for your own work and at the same time contribute to the overall team performance.
Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to deliver high quality advice in a timely manner and efficiently manage a caseload of applications. Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and guidance are also required.

This post is offered on a full-time basis and will combine home and office working, at the Civic Offices in Basingstoke, near to the Top of Town.
