What you will do
1. Reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager
2. Manage the maintenance and switching of high voltage equipment (through 3rd party where required) and to produce HV/LV switching plans to allow both HV an LV system maintenance without interrupting the manufacturing facility
3. Management of CHP maintenance and uptime
4. Own, operate and maintain HV and LV main distribution including protection, PFC and SPDs
5. Own, operate and commission site BMS/SCADA systems
6. Carry out on job training of shift and other personnel on site (technicians and other engineers)
7. Produce weekly energy reports and analysis of data including energy, effluent and operational
8. Specification, design and commissioning of control panels and systems
9. Specify maintenance requirements for equipment under ownership
10. Write operational and performance specification for electrical and control systems including commissioning plans
11. Actively contribute to the departments various meetings and boards including management of change, 8d, FMEA and environmental/energy reviews
12. Assist in problem solving when requested by personnel both inside and outside of the facilities department
13. Administer, Interrogate and update CMMS system to schedule and record various maintenance activities
14. Report writing
What you will need
15. Understanding of various items of plant operation including VFDs, motors, boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, and vacuum systems
16. Ability to read, produce and understand electrical and mechanical drawings including P&IDs and flow diagrams
17. Experience and understanding of working with pneumatic systems
18. A good understanding of both electrical and control/instrumentation systems
19. Ability to fault find on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic control systems to a high level
20. Ability to interact at all levels and to carry out presentations to senior management if required
21. Familiarity with air conditioning systems including humidity and room pressure controls
22. Experience within a facilities management or building services environment
23. Knowledge of current electrical regulations and how these are to be applied
24. Knowledge and ability to use various common software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
25. Apprentice trained or appropriate experience
26. Educated to degree level or similar in an electrical and/or controls discipline
27. Certificate in safety systems eg, NEBOSH, IOSH, etc
28. Basic understanding of air conditioning and humidification control systems
29. Understanding of DI water and pH correction systems
30. Appreciation of energy management and an eagerness to improve energy and environmental performance across site
31. Basic understanding of SPC and how it can be used to monitor and improve control of facilities systems
32. Understanding of various problem investigation techniques including 8D and FMEA
33. Knowledge of and experience in using predictive maintenance techniques including VA and Thermal imaging
