We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Biology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Pudsey. This full-time role is set to start immediately and will run until Christmas, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on our students.

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Biology (or related subject).
2. Experience teaching Biology at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
3. Ability to teach Chemistry or Physics is highly desirable.
4. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Responsibilities:
7. Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject.
8. Adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.
9. Contribute to the planning and development of the Science curriculum, ensuring alignment with school objectives and national standards.
10. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
11. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science department, sharing best practices and resources.
12. Participate in parent evenings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
