Housing Support Worker
Location: Burton-On-Trent - Across 3 sites
Pay: £11.78
Hours: 24 hours per week, between 8am-6pm
Shift Pattern: Across 3 days (Monday-Sunday)
Contract: Temporary, covering 2 months, could be extended
Nature of Temporary Work
Brook Street Social Care will, at all times during your employment, use reasonable endeavours to allocate you to suitable assignments. Your hours of work may vary from one assignment to another, and you will be advised of the expected hours for each assignment. There may also be occasions when no work is available.
Within this temporary role, you will be job sharing with someone returning from leave, and you will take on their workload when they are not in. As it stands, the role will be open for 2 months, but with someone returning from leave, this requirement could be extended.

Overview of the Role
I am looking for a Housing Support Worker to provide person centred support to service users, reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures. To support service users with life skills and empower them to make a positive contribution to society and become self-sufficient; this includes recording case studies that reflect achievements of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy, maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks)
Support service users with their tenancies
Support service users who struggle with their vulnerabilities
Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge
Experience supporting people sustain their tenancies
Experience working with vulnerable people who have been subject to homelessness & substance misuse
