MetCC Welfare Support Team Member
The starting salary is £37,160, which includes a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance, and allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £32,639. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841, a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000, and a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance.

In this key role, you’ll be part of a specialist team that will encourage and support staff welfare for Met Command & Control. MetCC provides London with its police response service, handling some 13,000 emergency and non-emergency phone calls and 12,000 interactions via our digital platforms 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It’s a fast-moving environment, where every day is different; and with a workforce of almost 2,000 people split between three sites in London, MetCC is the largest police Command & Control centre in the UK.
Join us, and you’ll be there for MetCC, providing pro-active support and assistance to the entire MetCC workforce. The Role
Met Command & Control (MetCC) provides London with its police response service, handling some 13,000 emergency and non-emergency phone calls and 12,000 interactions via our digital platforms 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Specialist police communications support is also provided for some 500 large-scale public events that take place across the capital each year.
Naturally this means we have a fast-paced dynamic environment, where no two days will be the same; and with a workforce of almost 2000 people split between three geographical sites in London we are the largest police Command & Control centre in the UK.
We are looking for people-focused individuals to join our newly formed Welfare Support Team. The team is being established to improve the support offered to our workforce and to enhance how we recognise and reward our teams. You will assist in the delivery of improving wellbeing within our command, reducing abstractions in the workplace. You will support staff and managers through the Attendance Management Policy, to ensure wellbeing services are offered to staff. You will promote engagement across the command and assist in creating a culture of inclusivity and confidence throughout the command.
