Job Description
Primary Purpose of Role:
To design and develop new electronic and electrical sub-systems for complex process machinery. This role will involve developing electrical sub-systems in conjunction with other engineers. The candidate will be required to design to electrical standards and approved codes of practice. It will also include concept and planning, feasibility, production, and introduction and support of new parts at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electronic and electrical design to support development of a new product.
2. Integration of electronic devices.
3. Electrical assembly design.
4. Wiring harness design.
5. PCB Design (optional).
6. Electronic component selection.
7. Some analogue and digital board level design.
8. Design and specification of electrical distribution hardware, cabling/breakers, etc.
9. Good knowledge of 3-phase distribution.
10. Supporting device assembly both remote and onsite.
11. Fault finding/problem solving.
12. Hands-on build/testing/verification of development projects.
13. Creating engineering bills of materials.

* Willingness to do electrical design and unit testing i.e. need for hands-on element.
Qualifications & Experience:
* HNC/equivalent or above.
* Strong understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EU harmonized standards.
* Understanding of UL/NFPA regulations.
* Understanding of EN13849 regulations.
* Design of safety circuits.
* AutoCAD experience.
