ABOUT THE ROLE
1. Deliver our Fire Door installation projects on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard through your energy, knowledge, enthusiasm, and technical expertise.
2. From day one, receive support and guidance from your Contracts Manager, who will ensure your smooth transition and development within the company.
3. Collaborate with Heads of Departments, Commercial Managers, and Technical Auditors for project delivery, commercial, and quality support.
4. Work closely with the administration team, direct labor, and subcontractors.
Core Responsibilities:
5. Supervise individual carpentry contracts, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining product quality.
6. Understand project scope, plan, and motivate site operatives for maximum productivity.
7. Liaise with customers and building users to resolve access issues and progress work.
8. Induct operatives to site-specific requirements.
9. Ensure adherence to site practices and promote a ‘right first time’ culture.
10. Capture progress and variation information for accurate reporting.
11. Maintain organized site paperwork and diaries.
12. Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and equipment checks to ensure health and safety practices.
13. Perform Quality Assurance checks and maintain records in the Boris system.
14. Resolve Quality Assurance issues, site problems, customer disputes, and complaints.
15. Ensure appropriate labor resourcing and minimize waste.
16. Keep sites stocked with necessary materials and access equipment.
17. Conduct accurate site surveys and measurements.
18. Develop trainees to reach their full potential.
REQUIREMENTS
19. Experience in carpentry, including installation of fire doors
20. Supervising and scheduling work of others.
21. Customer/client liaison.
22. Monitoring and maintaining health and safety and quality standards.
23. Driving site productivity.
Qualifications:
24. NVQ Level 2 or above in Carpentry or a related field.
25. CSCS certification.
26. SSSTS certification.
27. Full UK Driving Licence.
28. IPAF/PASMA (preferred).
29. Full First Aid qualification (preferred).
