What you will be doing:
You will provide specialist technical expertise, advice and detailed analysis within the Reward team, HR, and the wider business. This role is an integral part of the delivery of the reward policies, arrangements, and operational delivery across our population. You will provide technical and strategic input, high quality accurate data analysis and research to support the maintenance, development, implementation of our Reward strategy, policies, and practices.
You will:
1. Act as the reward lead and SME in designing and delivering the annual pay review and annual incentive plan.
2. Be the reward SME and support with the design of DLG incentive schemes, including Trinity, Optimal and DLG Auto Services plans, ensuring alignment to the reward strategy and work with the business incentive teams as appropriate.
3. Be the escalation point for job evaluation queries and grade sign offs (jointly owned with the others in the reward team).
4. Support all BAU reward activity including, benchmarking, and managing market data providers.
5. Manage the approach to equal pay and compliance with legislative changes and be the SME on Gender Pay Gap and Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting, working closely with the Data Insights team and liaising with Internal/External Communications team to produce reporting and statements.
6. Keep up to date on all legislative and market change to provide direction and expert advice to Reward, HR and the business including supporting any regulatory activity.
What we are looking for:
7. Previous experience of providing reward technical expertise and running large pay review cycles.
8. Experience of providing outstanding stakeholder support.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
10. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
11. High level of technical competence in total reward practices and up-to-date knowledge of current reward issues.
12. Resilience and professionalism in managing sensitive and high-profile issues.
13. Curiosity, critical thinking, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
