Join us as a Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) taking responsibility for managing a number of our key Supply Chain relationships which includes our outsourced Procurement partner.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to progress their career in Supply Chain. It’s a hands-on role that will involve leading and directing Procurement activity, working with stakeholders across the business and will allow you to develop your commercial and contract knowledge within a wider team of Procurement and Supply Chain specialists.
About the role
The role of SRM is diverse and as well as managing relationships with suppliers, you will be expected to get involved in all aspects of Procurement activity in support of the wider Supply Chain strategy. This will include:
1. Manage several suppliers in line with our 3rd party risk framework; ensuring requirements and objectives are met/exceeded whilst providing good outcomes for customers.
2. Represent YBS and Supply Chain in supplier performance review meetings and other external meetings with relevant suppliers.
3. Develop and enhance reporting processes for the tracking of Procurement savings, monitoring of contract end-dates and work closely with colleagues within our risk team to ensure we have adequate oversight of supplier data.
About you
Whilst a Procurement or SRM background would be advantageous, it is not essential. You will, however, need a strong understanding of contract management, contracting principles, and be commercially astute. If you are comfortable analysing supplier data from multiple sources and able to summarise complex information in a simple and compelling way, this will be a key strength required in the role. In addition, you will have:
1. Experience of managing large BPO/Outsourced supplier relationships in a Financial Service organisation.
2. Ability to manage budgets and resources.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, corporate governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
4. Experience of managing a team and service.
5. Awareness of related functions and/or services outside of the role’s direct remit.
6. Experience of managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
7. Effective communication, engagement, and influencing skills.
8. Ability to effectively represent YBSG through maintaining collaborative relationships.
